Vista makes your documents homicidal

The speech recognition function in Vista seems to be exactly the same as every other speech recognition product I’ve encountered: absolutely worthless.

Funny.
True, people wonder why this great piece of code keeps on getting delayed.

I’d put money down that says Vista will be the last major release of an OS from Microsoft. It’s obvious that it doesn’t work any longer. Expect perpetual updates from now on, is my guess.
Perhaps they decided that they need to go to an update model after coding Vista, and now they need to re-code a lot of stuff that isn’t update-able? I imagine it would take a lot of work to go back through an entire OS and make everything upgradeable via the web… Could be that it is a little more difficult than first thought…

I can remember being demoed Dragon Dictate by the product owner – for Windows 95 – about 10 or more years ago!
Even that worked!
It was not perfect – but it was better than that!
